I'm Caleb Morse — a Computer Science student at the University of Kansas. I build practical software at the intersection of AI, full-stack engineering, data systems, and security.
There's never been a better time to build software. The tools are real, the models are real, the stack is finally fast enough — and I'm bullish on what gets shipped in the next decade. I'm most interested in AI used well in education and systems-level engineering. That shows up across my work: makes AI-assisted learning auditable for instructors, turns single training videos into structured micro-courses, and the under labs/ rebuild process scheduling, virtual memory, and signals as interactive simulators instead of textbook abstractions.
This summer I'll be a Software Engineer Intern at [WellSky](https://wellsky.com) on the Home Care Solutions team — production healthcare software supporting Specialty Pharmacy and Home Infusion workflows. I most recently interned at Cornerstone Integration on private R&D engineering work, and was previously a QA Intern at [Rooted Software](file:experience) — built Playwright + Ghost Inspector test suites across 8 production projects. I do supply-chain security research at KU — "Short-Lived Malicious Releases in Package Ecosystems: Can Update Delays Reduce Risk?" — across three workstreams (TypeScript static analysis on 247 npm packages, wall-clock benchmarking of npm test, and a frozen v1 incident dataset of 79 confirmed compromises). Presented at the KU FBI Conference and ARISE Conference.
